A Kikoy is a traditional woven cloth fabric from Kenya and known for its bright colors. A Kikoy can be used in countless ways. As a pareo, sarong , a “wrap” , beach towel , Fouta , shawl , scarf, turban or skirt but it can also be used as a tablecloth, picnic blanket or bedspread . In short, a versatile piece of fabric with nice frills ( FRINGE ) on it. USE YOUR IMAGINATION  and use the Kikoy the way you want it yourself!  lees meer>>

The word Kikoy comes from the Swahili word meaning “wrap” that is something you drape around you .Besides the traditional Kikoy there is also the Kikoy towel or bath towel. This consists on one side from a Kikoy and on the other side from soft terry. The Kikoy towel is finished with a small pocket on the terry side where you can store some loose money or your mobile. The Kikoy towel can be used in countless ways. As a towel to take with you on vacation, at the beach or during exercise. Or use it as a shawl ! The Kikoy towel weighs only 500 grams and is therefore easy to carry in your suitcase or to the beach, it dries quickly and is beautifully colored !The Kikoy “The symbol of Kenia!”

The bags of EnergyLine Kenia are made ​​in our atelier in Kenia, Because they are handmade, each piece is unique ! First dyed in beautiful colors and then decorated with a border of Kikoy and a closure of beads. The handles are made ​​of beads or Kikoy. The bags are (partly) provided with a liner and may also be closed on the inside. Use the bag in summer or winter , possibly with a matching shawl or pareo as Kikoy.
